Delirium Ultra 24 Hour Run : event overview
Delirium Ultra is an endurance trail event held in Beaufort, SC in the Habersham community. The course is a closed, hard packed trail loop of 1.65 miles that is shut off to traffic. Runners pass a single aid station at the completion of each lap.
The event offers three timed races:
- 24 hours
- 12 hours
- 6 hours
Winners in each race are the overall male and female competitors who log the most miles. Runners must compete in the event they register for; race day changes, cancellations, and transfers are not allowed. Packet pickup is handled before the race and no packets are distributed after the race has started.
Camping and staging are allowed along both sides of the course near the aid station and start area. Staging areas are limited in size and allocated on a first come basis. Primitive camping is allowed; open fires are not permitted in the designated Tent City. Parking is adjacent to the start and finish area but does not provide direct crew access to the course. Limited camper parking is available and requires prior arrangement.
Safety and timing details: bibs must be worn visibly on the front and ankle transponders must be worn for every lap to be counted. Night runners in the 12 and 24 hour races must carry a headlamp or handheld light from dusk until dawn. The aid station provides basic first aid and a variety of food items throughout the event. Live results are posted as internet connection allows. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
