DeLeon Dash 5K
The DeLeon Dash 5K is held inside and around DeLeon Springs State Park in De Leon Springs, Florida. The event includes an in-person 5K run and walk and a Virtual 5K option. Proceeds benefit Friends of DeLeon Springs State Park.
The course passes through woods, beside the spring pool, past the Old Sugar Mill, under large oaks, and along park trails. Surfaces on the course include sidewalks, paved roads, dirt roads, and unpaved trails. Parking is available inside the park.
Event services and amenities include a race shirt, a finisher's medal, custom awards for age groups and overall, chip timing using disposable electronic tags attached to the bib, searchable online results, downloadable race photos, and a post-race snack. Water stops with cups will be available on course and at the finish. Virtual participants receive a race shirt and medal and may pick them up onsite or pay an additional fee for mailing.
Registration is capped at 300 entries and is final with no refunds. Entry fees are published in date ranges: 03/18–05/31 = $35, 06/01–07/31 = $40, and 08/01–10/17 = $45. The event raises funds to support park preservation, history, and local flora and fauna. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
