DeGray Lake Triathlon
The DeGray Lake Triathlon is a multisport festival located at the DeGray Lake Resort State Park in Arkansas. The event takes place at the Spillway Dam Area, situated on a reservoir on the Caddo River near the Ouachita mountains. The venue is positioned approximately 2.5 miles north of Interstate 30 on Highway 7, westernly along Skyline Drive.
Participants can choose from a variety of multisport and single-sport formats:
- Olympic Triathlon (Individual and Team): A 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, and 10 km run. Teams may consist of 2 or 3 members in male, female, or coed categories.
- Sprint Triathlon: A 500 yard swim, 13.5 mile bike, and 3.1 mile (5K) run.
- Sprint Duathlon: A 2 mile run, followed by a 13.5 mile bike, and a 3.1 mile run.
- Olympic Aqua Bike: A 1.5 km swim and a 40 km bike.
- Open Water Swim: A 1500 m swim consisting of two 750 meter loops.
The event also offers virtual triathlon and duathlon options for those unable to attend the venue in person. These categories allow participants to complete their chosen distance on a local route and submit proof of completion to receive a medal and event items.
