Défi Familles en Forme in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville
Défi Familles en Forme is a timed running event with a Seniors Walk held at Parc Marie-Victorin on August 23 2026. The event offers multiple distances for different age groups and encourages young people to participate with family members. It is organized in collaboration with local primary and kindergarten schools; a contest between schools awards a 1000 dollar food credit donated by Marchés Lambert (IGA St-Bruno).
Races and the walk are timed using the Chrono 900 chip system; the chip is attached to the bib and results are not recorded without it. Bicycle draws are held among participants from each primary school; other prize draws are planned and young participants may win an autographed shirt and cap provided by the Canadiens Foundation for Children.
Distances offered
- 10 km : open to participants 14 years and older
- 5 km : open to participants 11 years and older
- 2 km : open to participants 7 years and older
- 1 km : open to all
- Seniors Walk 2 km : open to all ages
Available services and rules include bibs with electronic timing, water points on the 5 km and 10 km routes, kilometre markings, first aid team, age category medals, free parking and toilets. Jogging strollers are allowed; bicycles, inline skates and animals are not permitted on site. An optional souvenir medal is available for 7$.
