Défi du Printemps Rouge et Or
The Défi du Printemps Rouge et Or is a spring running event organized by the Rouge et Or Athletics Club of Université Laval. The event holds a silver sanction from the Fédération Québécoise d'athlétisme. It takes place at the TELUS Stadium - Université Laval in Quebec City. Participation helps fund the Rouge et Or Fund, which provides scholarships to the university's student-athletes.
The available race distances are 1 km and 5 km. The 1 km is for children. The 5 km features two grouped starts based on target time: one for runners aiming to finish in under 25 minutes, and another for those aiming for over 25 minutes.
Registration is transferable, refundable (excluding transaction fees), or modifiable until 30 days before the event. Race bibs can be picked up at the entrance to the PEPS the day before and on the morning of the event. Outdoor parking at the PEPS is free on weekends, with three parking lots available (avoiding rue de la Terrasse and avenue du Séminaire, which will be closed).
Streets will be closed to automobile traffic during the event. An emergency medical plan is in place, with a vehicle equipped with a defibrillator and a first aid tent near the start. Participants have access to the PEPS locker rooms and showers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
