Defenders of Mental Health 5K
The event is a faith-centered community 5K hosted by a nonprofit foundation in Savannah, Georgia, supporting people affected by mental health challenges and PTSD. It brings together runners, walkers, ruckers and families to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and offer community support. The foundation began in 2022 in memory of a 20 year Army veteran and directs proceeds to military families, first responders, youth programs, scholarships, and community education.

- 5K Virtual Run/Walk/Ruck - 3.1 miles
- 5K Ruck March - 3.1 miles
- Free Kids Run - 800 m
Participants who register by September 4 are guaranteed a shirt or tank, a commemorative coin, and a swag bag. Registration tiers are listed for early bird, open, and late periods with corresponding fees. The virtual registration and guarantee deadline is September 4.
Race day features include costume dressing encouraged for themed heroes and faith characters, team squads with matching bib stickers, a costume contest with multiple categories, a photo station with shields and capes, an armor up station with wristbands or stickers, and a prayer shield wall where written intentions will be prayed over.
