DEF 4th of July 5K Race, Duxbury MA
The DEF 4th of July 5K Race is a community road event scheduled for July 4, 2026, centered at the Steele Athletic Building, 130 St. George Street, Duxbury. The event raises funds for innovative educational programs in Duxbury Public Schools and is presented as part of the nation’s 250th anniversary activities.
The program includes the following distances:
- 5K Walk/Run
- Kids Fun Run at the track behind the Steele Building, recommended for ages 8 and under
Organizers note limited bib availability, with 1,000 bibs allocated for the 5K and 100 bibs for the Kids Fun Run. Awards are planned for top 5K finishers in each age category and for the most patriotic runner. Event shirts are available on a first come, first served basis. Participants are invited to wear patriotic colors or colonial and Americana inspired costumes.
