Deep Creek Backyard Ultra is a solo backyard-style trail running event held in Cairncross State Forest near Port Macquarie. The race uses a repeating loop of about 6.7 km; each loop includes roughly 125 m of elevation gain. Runners complete one loop every hour, with the field continuing until a single runner remains un-outfoxed by the course.

All support is provided at the event hub where competitors may set up a personal 3×3 m support tent.
