The Dead Night Pines Trail Run is a night trail event held at Tyler State Park on July 18, 2026. It offers a range of distances on park trails that run through East Texas pineywoods on rooty and dirt single track surfaces.

The course uses Tyler State Park trails and is described as rolling hills, showing about 900 feet of elevation per eight mile loop. Historic average temperatures for the event period are 76 to 86 degrees. A headlamp is required for all distances. The event is a no-cup race; participants must carry a water-carrying system with a minimum 16 ounce capacity.
Aid stations are located on the short loop and include a Main Aid Station at the start/finish and additional stations at Mile 3.6 and Mile 5.5. Water-only water stations and aid stations offering hot and cold foods, snacks, electrolytes, pickle juice and ice are listed. No drop bags will be shipped due to the short loop.
Ruck rules specify weight requirements and allow a ruck sack or vest. All participants need a state park day pass before the event. Finishers receive a medal and a t-shirt; first place male and female trophies are awarded for each distance.
