Purpose and program
The event supports Drug Demand Reduction education and related community outreach. Proceeds are designated to continue and enhance outreach and education programs for youth in the unit and the surrounding community. The Young Marines program focuses on anti-drug education, character and leadership development, community service and volunteerism, and veteran’s service. The DDR Dash also commemorates the sacrifice of a DEA agent and recognizes the efforts of the DEA and law enforcement personnel involved in drug prevention work.
