Event Overview
The 33rd Annual Mark Carpenter Falcon 5K is a public running event held on the campus of Divine Child High School in Dearborn, Michigan. It is held in memory of Mark Carpenter, a member of the class of 1968.
Distances
The event features three distances:
- 5K: Open to all ages.
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk.
- Tot Trot: A quarter-mile event for children aged 6 and under.
Post-Race Activities
After the races, top finishers in the 5K and 1-mile events are announced. Complimentary hot dogs and chips, sponsored by Dearborn Brand Sausage, are provided. Family activities take place on the field and concourse. A KONA Ice Truck is also present for purchases.
Event Details
Bib and T-shirt pickup begins at 7:00 AM at the registration table on race morning. Bottled water is available at the start/finish line, and a water station is located along the course. All races start on the Divine Child track. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each age group for the 5K.
Parking is available on campus. Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted on the course. Onsite registration is available on race day.
Registration
An early-bird registration price of $30 includes a T-shirt if registered by a specific date in July. Registration after that date and onsite registration cost $35, with a T-shirt not guaranteed. The Tot Trot is free. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
