Day Ohn Day Run

The Tulsa Indian Club hosts the 22nd annual Day Ohn Day Run in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The event title comes from the Kiowa word for "wonderful" or "I feel good." The races take place at Mohawk Park, situated next to the Tulsa Zoo. The course is set in a serene environment and is noted for being flat. The 5K and 10K routes are USATF certified, with the 10K consisting of two loops of the 5K course.

The event features several race distances and categories:

  • 5K run
  • 10K run
  • 1 Mile timed run
  • Virtual Run option

Participants in the 5K can compete in unique categories. The Princess Challenge is open to past and present royalty of indigenous tribes or organizations. The Chief Challenge is a competition for tribally sponsored teams, where an award is presented to the tribe with the highest number of finishing participants. There is also an open team category for the 5K based on the average time of the fastest three to five members.

Finisher medals are provided to participants in all races while supplies last. Packet pickup is available on the days leading up to the event at RunnersWorld Tulsa, as well as on the morning of the races at Mohawk Park Shelter #3. Proceeds from the event benefit the Tulsa Indian Club and the Tulsa Powwow. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
