Alaska Airlines Dawg Dash

Alaska Airlines Dawg Dash is a campus running event at the University of Washington in Seattle on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026. The 10K run and 5K run/walk start on Memorial Way north of the flagpole and finish on the UW Central Plaza in front of Suzzallo Library (Red Square).

The event includes a kids Husky Pups Run for children eight and under that loops around Drumheller Fountain (less than 1 mile). Dogs and strollers are welcome in all races. Timing chips are part of the race bibs and do not need to be returned.

A portion of registration fees supports the UW Alumni Association general scholarship fund. For 2026 the UWAA will select eight Homecoming Scholars; each scholar receives a $5,000 scholarship and is recognized at the Homecoming football game.

Registrants receive race items such as a Brooks short-sleeve tech t-shirt, timed race bib, and a finisher medal; kid registrations include a kid-sized t-shirt and a finisher ribbon. Dog registrations include a Dogdanna (19" x 19") as a souvenir.

Packet pickup must be done in person at University Book Store on the Ave on the listed pickup dates, with additional on-site packet pickup available near Kane Hall on race day. Gear check is offered and items must fit into a bag provided by University Book Store. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
