Dash'n'Splash - Sandgate QLD
Dash'n'Splash is an inaugural fundraising event in Sandgate, Queensland, scheduled for June 27, 2026. The program combines a community parkrun with a short pool swim at the Sandgate Aquatic Centre. The pool is located beside the parkrun start and finish area.
The event includes these distances:
- 5 km run (parkrun)
- 25 m swim
Registration covers an event shirt or singlet, one complimentary beverage and one complimentary breakfast burger per participant. Participants are asked to select only one beverage, one meal and either one singlet or one shirt.
Entry categories and published fees include standard entry, family entry for two adults and two under 16s in a single transaction, reduced fee for Special Olympics athletes, an under 16 category, promotional free entry by access code, and a volunteer registration option. Published fees for standard categories are A$25 for standard entry, A$80 for the family entry, A$10 for Special Olympics athletes and A$20 for under 16s.
The event raises funds for the QLD Law Enforcement Torch Run to help send Special Olympics athletes to the National Games in Victoria later in the year. The Sandgate pool offers options in an indoor heated pool for participants with limited mobility or who require wheelchair access. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
