Dash'n'Splash, Sandgate QLD
Dash'n'Splash is the inaugural combined running and swimming event in Sandgate, Queensland, held on 27 June 2026 to raise funds through the QLD Law Enforcement Torch Run to support Special Olympics athletes travelling to the National Games in Victoria later that year. The event takes place at the Sandgate parkrun start and the Sandgate Aquatic Centre, located at 231 Flinders Parade, Sandgate QLD 4017.
Participants take part in two activities:
- 5 km run (parkrun)
- 25 m swim
The Sandgate pool offers inclusive options, including access to an indoor heated pool for participants with limited mobility or those who require a wheelchair.
Registration includes one event shirt or singlet, one complimentary beverage and one complimentary breakfast burger per participant. Fee categories listed for the event include a standard entry of A$25 for the 5 km run and 25 m swim, a family entry of A$80 for two adults and two under 16s registered in one transaction, a Special Olympics athlete fee of A$10, and an under 16 fee of A$20. Promotional entries may be available for free with an access code. There is also a volunteer registration option for non participating helpers.
