Dashing through the Glow 5K at Lanier Islands
The event is a 5K held at Lanier Islands in Buford, Georgia on November 8, 2026. It offers in-person morning and evening race options as well as a virtual runner option. Capacity is limited to 1,500 participants at each race time.
The course passes through the park’s Magical Nights of Lights with Christmas light displays along the route. Registered participants receive a crewneck sweatshirt with an option to upgrade to a hoodie, and custom finisher medals are provided for all registered in-person runners. Awards are given to overall and age-group winners. Participants may add a keepsake ornament during registration.
Packet pick-up is scheduled from Wednesday November 5 through Sunday November 8 at Big Peach Running Co. Braselton in Flowery Branch; store hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Remaining packets will be available at the race location starting at 4:30 p.m. on race day. Any uncollected in-person race packets will be donated.
Event rules note that strollers are allowed but must start at the back and be walked; dogs are not allowed. The event lists a vendor option with 10 by 10 booth space priced at $150 for November 8, 2026. All proceeds benefit the Georgia Mountain Food Bank Association.
