About the race
Dashing for Donuts is set for June 7, 2026 in Placerville, California. The event uses the El Dorado Trail from the new bridge at Missouri Flat Road and follows an out and back course. Parking is noted at 4369 Golden Center Drive.
Event distances:
- 5K run on the out and back course
- 1 mile Kids Fun Run for participants under age 18
- Virtual 5K
Registration opens on December 15, 2025. Registration deadlines differ by event: the kids race registration closes January 16, 2026; the 5K and virtual 5K registrations close February 16, 2026. Registration fees are listed for each event. The last day to register and guarantee a shirt size is May 25.
Packet pickup is at Kaia Fit, 4615 Missouri Flat Road #5 in Placerville, and also available the morning of the race at the race location. Packet pickup windows are Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6 as provided by the organizer.
Every participant receives a donut, a medal and cold water after finishing. Awards are given to the top three women and top three men in the 5K, and the top three girls and top three boys in the 1 mile; age group awards are given 1st through 3rd in 10 year increments. Dogs are allowed on the course but must start in the back. All proceeds benefit the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, Team Teal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
