Event overview
Dash with Rio is an annual running event organized with Rio Salado College. The event features three distances:
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 1 mile
The course is based at Kiwanis Park, North Soccer Field, 101 W. Baseline Road, Tempe, AZ 85283. Proceeds support Rio Salado College students who need financial help to continue their education. Donations to the college student assistance fund are accepted.
Details
Entry includes a custom event t-shirt and a finisher medal. Fee tiers vary by distance and registration date, with higher fees for later registration and on race day. Packet pick up is available the day before and on race day at the venue, and race-day registration is offered.
The race is chip timed using disposable RFID chips attached to the reverse side of race numbers. Race numbers should be pinned to the front of the shirt and worn over the belly button. Age-group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in the following groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.
