Event Information
This is the 8th annual Dash with Rio. The event is organized by Rio Salado College to raise money to benefit students wishing to further their education. It takes place at Kiwanis Park North Field, located at 101 W. Baseline in Tempe, Arizona.
The course design is loop-based. The 10 km race consists of 2 loops, the 5 km race consists of 1 loop, and the 1 Mile event also consists of 1 loop. A virtual participation option is available for those who cannot attend in person. Virtual participants receive a Dash with Rio shirt and finisher medal if registered by March 31.
Entry for all distances includes a custom event t-shirt and a finisher medal. Registration prices increase at tiered deadlines leading up to the event and on race day. The event uses chip timing with a disposable chip attached to the race number, which should be worn on the front of the shirt.
Awards are given for the 5 km and 10 km distances. The top three male and female finishers in each age group receive awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
