Dash for the Splash 10 km
The Dash for the Splash is an all-terrain 10 km race over Wimbledon Common, presented by Thames Hare and Hounds. The course includes muddy sections, hills and a watersplash across the Beverley Brook, with one water station roughly halfway.
Race headquarters are at the Thames Hare and Hounds clubhouse on the Richardson Evans Memorial Fields in Putney Vale SW15 3PQ. Registration is handled on the day at the HQ and race packs are not sent in advance. Numbers are allocated by age and gender; participants should wear their race number visibly on an outer layer and write name, address and medical details on the back before the race. There is a staffed kit drop next to registration.
Facilities include public toilets in the sports pavilion, additional temporary toilets nearby and limited parking. Cycle parking is available by the A3 cycle path. First aid will be present in the start and finish area and marshals can escort anyone needing medical help from the course.
Prizes are awarded to the first three men and first three women, with V40, V50 and V60 categories; vets prizes may be posted after the event. Results will be published on the event website shortly after the race. The event is supported by Up and Running and the King’s Head, Roehampton.
