Dash for Down Syndrome
Dash for Down Syndrome raises funds and awareness for Eastern Idaho Down Syndrome Family Connect. The in-person event takes place on August 22, 2026 at Snake River Landing in Idaho Falls, Pier View Drive, ID 83402. It is presented as a day of celebration for the local Down syndrome community, their families, and supporters.
The event features multiple participation options:
- 1 mile fun run/walk
- 3.21 mile course
- 10K
- Individual WITH Down Syndrome free registration option
The first 900 people who register are guaranteed a swag bag. Any 10K and 3.21 mile participants registered before July 20 are guaranteed a race t-shirt or an add-on shirt ordered before that date; participants who register after July 20 are not guaranteed a t-shirt. The fun run course is less than a mile and no shirt is included for that event, though shirts are available for purchase.
Individuals with Down syndrome registered for any race receive a t-shirt, an engraved medal, and a racecourse poster. The 10K and 3.21 mile races will be timed and results will be uploaded. Medals will be available at the finish line and participants must have their bib on to receive the official medal. Courses will be clearly marked and staffed with uniformed volunteers.
