Event Overview
The Dash for Down Syndrome is a community event held at Snake River Landing in Idaho Falls. The event serves as a fundraiser to support the Eastern Idaho Down Syndrome Family Connect organization. This gathering brings together supporters and families for a day of activity and recognition of the local Down syndrome community.
Race Categories
The event features several participation options on a course marked with signage and staffed by volunteers:
- 10K: A timed distance for runners.
- 3.21 mile: A timed distance open to both walkers and runners.
- 1 mile fun run/walk: A shorter route measuring less than one mile.
- Individual with Down Syndrome: A specific registration category with no fee.
Participant Details
Timing services are provided by Vector Timing for the 10K and 3.21 mile events using chipped bibs. Participants in these two distances who register before July 20th receive a race shirt. While the fun run does not include a shirt, they are available for separate purchase. The first 900 registered participants are provided with a swag bag which includes a race map.
All finishers receive medals at the finish line, provided they are wearing their official race bib. Individuals with Down syndrome receive a t-shirt, an engraved medal, and a racecourse poster as part of their participation.
