12th Annual Dash Around the Lake
The 12th Annual Dash Around the Lake takes place on June 13, 2026, at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake in Mundelein, Illinois. The event returns to a full course around the lake after bridge work was completed. The course was measured to USATF guidelines and all participants will receive timing chip bibs.
Race day features include age awards and medals, online results, and a custom designed T-shirt. A post race pizza party will follow the 5K at Mickey Finns in Libertyville. Parking is available on campus; attendees are asked to use the Route 45 entrance at 697 N Lake Street because the Route 176 entrance will be closed.
Multiple event options are listed for the day, including the Annual Adult 5K Run/5K Walk, youth divisions for ages 7 through current year high school graduates, an age 6 and under division, a virtual 5K option, and a shirt only purchase option. Registration opens March 27, 2026 and generally closes June 12, 2026, with the shirt only option closing earlier. Fees vary by category including free registration for the age 6 and under division and a shirt only fee.
The event is organized by the Knights of Columbus Libertyville Council 3674.
