The Darrel Chapman Fun Run has been held in Lismore for over 30 years. The event is organized in partnership with NAB and the Lord’s Taverners to support the local charity ‘Our Kids’.

All funds raised go to ‘Our Kids’. This charity purchases lifesaving medical equipment for local hospitals, aiming to keep children in the Northern Rivers area close to home when they need urgent medical care.

The run honours Darrel Chapman, a respected academic and sports administrator from Lismore who played Rugby League for Australia and captained South Sydney. He later established the Human Movement Science and Sport Management program at Southern Cross University.
