About the race
The Darlington Half Marathon & 8km is scheduled for 21 March 2027 at Pine Terrace, Darlington. This is the 58th running of the event, which offers two distances:
- 21.1 km
- 8 km
Both courses follow the Heritage Trail, an open, mostly gravel trail. The route has a slight incline toward the turn points and finishes with a flowing downhill section; the course reaches approximately 272 m elevation. Water stations are provided along the course, and electrolytes are available at the start for filling personal hydration bottles. Participants are encouraged to carry their own hydration.
All members must wear their member cloth bib and a timing chip on the shoe. Non-members should allow time on the morning of the event to collect their bib from the start area. Registrations may be available on the morning of the event if the event is not sold out in advance. The course cut off time is three hours.
Entry fees vary by distance and membership. Example fees published for the event include 21.1 km members $40 and non-members $60, and 8 km members $20 and non-members $30.
