Darien 5 Mile Road Race
The Darien Road Race & Family Fun Day is a community fundraiser held September 20, 2026 at Pear Tree Point Beach in Darien, Connecticut. The event includes timed races and family-friendly activities under a large tent. Proceeds support neighbors in Stamford, Norwalk, and Darien through grants from The Community Fund of Darien.
For 46 years the Community Fund of Darien has organized this annual event. Since 1951 the fund has granted nearly $30,000,000 to a network of more than 30 nonprofit health and human services organizations that provide food, housing, healthcare, employment skills, youth programs, and emergency services.

- 1.5 Miles Timed Run/Walk
- 5 Miles Timed Race
Awards are announced for both distances. Official 2026 medals will be given to the top five finishers in the 1.5 mile event. The 5 mile event awards medals to the top three finishers in female and male categories across these age groups: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 plus.
Registration opens May 29. Pricing is tiered by early bird, regular, and day of race periods. Early bird and later fees vary by age group, with children ages 0 to 5 listed as free. Parking at Pear Tree Point Beach is limited; organizers encourage carpooling, biking, and walking. The family activity tent is open without registration.
