Darien Road Race & Family Fun Day
The event is a charity road race and family activity day held at Pear Tree Point Beach in Darien, Connecticut on September 20, 2026. It includes two timed races and a family activity tent with activities for attendees. Funds raised support neighbors in Stamford, Norwalk, and Darien by providing basic needs through grants to a network of more than 30 nonprofit health and human services organizations.

Awards are given for the races. Official 2026 Darien Road Race medals will be awarded to the top five finishers in the 1.5 mile event. For the 5 mile race, medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each of these age groups: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
The Community Fund of Darien has organized the road race for 46 years. The fund has been active since 1951 and has granted nearly $30,000,000 to support food, housing, health care, employment skills, youth programs, and emergency services. Parking in and around Pear Tree Point Beach is limited; alternatives include carpooling, biking, and walking.
