The 5 Mile Timed Race awards official 2026 Darien Road Race medals to the top three finishers in female and male categories across age groups: 12 and under; 13-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 plus. The 1.5-mile Timed Run/Walk awards medals to the top five finishers in that race.
Registration pricing is divided into three periods. Early bird pricing runs May 29 through July 3, 2026, regular pricing runs July 4 through September 19, 2026, and day of race pricing applies on September 20, 2026. Fees vary by age: adults 18 and older, youth 6 to 18, and children 0 to 5 with a free category for the youngest participants. Parking in and around Pear Tree Point Beach is limited; organizers note alternatives such as carpooling, biking, and walking.
The event supports The Community Fund of Darien. Since 1951 the fund has granted nearly $30,000,000 to organizations serving neighbors in Darien, Stamford, and Norwalk, covering needs such as food, housing, health care, employment skills, youth programs, and emergency services.
