Daniela Conte Foundation Butterfly 5K Run/Walk and Fun Run
This event offers a certified 5K run and walk plus a separate kids fun run for younger children. It is held at Heckscher State Park in East Islip, New York, with the 5K routed along the park walk and bike path on a USATF certified course.
Registration is not yet open and will open prior to the event. Virtual participation is available; virtual entrants may upload times and photos on the event date and may receive mailed bibs within the event mailing window.

Post-race amenities include refreshments such as coffee, bagels, and snacks, giveaways, games, face painting, and entertainment. A limited number of t-shirts and finisher medals are guaranteed for early registrants. Participants over 21 years may receive a complimentary pint of beer after the event from a partnering brewery. Baby strollers and baby joggers are permitted on course but must line up at the back.
Awards include trophies for the Top 3 Overall Male and Top 3 Overall Female finishers and medals for the top three finishers in multiple age groups spanning from 9–12 through 80 and over.
