Daniela Conte Foundation Butterfly 5K Run/Walk & Fun Run 2027
The Daniela Conte Foundation Butterfly 5K Run/Walk & Fun Run is scheduled for 2027 at Heckscher State Park in East Islip, NY. The 5K course uses the park walk and bike path and is USATF certified. Registration is not yet open; organizers will announce details and notification options before the event.
Event amenities include bibs for all participants, a guaranteed T-shirt and finisher medal for the first 500 registrants, and refreshments such as coffee, bagels, and snacks. There is a kids fun run for ages 8 and under. Organizers plan to offer one free pint of beer after the race to participants aged 21 and over, supplied by a local brewery. Awards include trophies for the top three overall male and female finishers and quality medals for the top three male and female finishers in age groups ranging from 9-12 up to 80+. Baby strollers and baby joggers are permitted on the course when lined up in the back.
