Big Brothers Big Sisters 16th Annual Daffodil Run
The event takes place on April 26, 2026 at Amherst Town Common in Amherst, Massachusetts. It is a community fundraising run presented by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampshire County to support local youth mentoring programs.
Participants can choose from these distances:
- 10 km timed and certified course
- 5 km with a youth discount for children
Registration details include an early-registration incentive: register by April 1 to receive a free Daffodil Run T-shirt. Individual early registration fees are listed at $35 and increase to $45 after the early deadline; a youth rate of $20 applies for children ages 12 and under for the 5 km during early registration. Family registration covers up to five members for $80. There is also a donation-only option and a shirt-only purchase option priced at $20.
On race morning the event offers a complimentary breakfast for participants, a warm-up period before the runs, and on-course support for the timed 10 km. The post-race celebration features music, food from local vendors, entertainment, yellow kites for flying, and picnic-style games when weather permits. A staffed area for personal items will be available and race proceeds support mentor matches that connect adults with young people in Hampshire County.
