D101 Harvest Fest 3k Run
D101 Harvest Fest 3k Run is a district-wide event at Spring Rock Park in Western Springs on September 19, 2026. The event includes students from Field Park, Forest Hills, Laidlaw Elementary Schools and McClure Junior High. Funds raised will support education programs, activities, and resources at those schools.
Registration fees are stated as $30 for the 3k and $20 for the Fun Run. To guarantee a T-shirt, registration must be completed by Thursday, September 3 at midnight; registration remains open until Wednesday, September 16. Packet pick-up is available at each school on Friday, September 18 from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Race day packet pick-up and registration are available from 3:00 pm to 3:45 pm; race day registrations will not be accepted after 3:45 pm.
Course and timing details are provided for participants. The 3k uses a disposable chip timing tag attached to the race bib; runners must wear the bib on the front of their clothing and avoid bending the chip. Smart watches and phones can interfere with timing and may affect recorded results. Each school will have a tent for personal items; organizers are not liable for lost or stolen goods.
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: under 4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14. The post race party coincides with Harvest Fest, and the first 200 students to register receive a wristband at packet pick-up. Parking is limited due to Harvest Fest activities; walking, biking, or scooting is suggested. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
