A Run Through History in Pafos
The TUI Cyprus Marathon is a multi-distance running event held in the historic region of Pafos. Established in 1999, the event combines coastal scenery with archaeological heritage. The marathon distance features a unique point-to-point course that begins at Petra tou Romiou, the mythical birthplace of Aphrodite, and follows the Mediterranean coastline.
The event offers several race options to accommodate different preferences:

The courses lead participants through ancient landscapes and coastal roads, eventually concluding at the historic Paphos Harbour, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The marathon route is described as flat and fast, offering participants views of the Mediterranean Sea throughout the run.
In addition to the competitive races, the event incorporates environmental initiatives under a sustainability program. This includes efforts to reduce the environmental footprint and the "You Run, We Plant" initiative.
