TUI Cyprus Marathon
The TUI Cyprus Marathon is a long-standing athletic event held in the coastal region of Paphos. Established in 1999, the event combines a flat and fast course with historical scenery along the Mediterranean coastline. Participants run through landscapes that include UNESCO World Heritage sites and coastal roads.
The event offers several race distances:
- Marathon
- Half-Marathon
- 10 km Race
- 5 km Sunset Run
- Wine Run
The marathon course begins at Petra tou Romiou, also known as Aphrodite’s Rock, and follows a route toward the historic Paphos harbour. Other races, including the half-marathon, 10 km, and 5 km Sunset Run, start at Paphos Castle. The event incorporates sustainability initiatives, such as tree planting and efforts to reduce the environmental footprint of the races. Dedicated award ceremonies for overall and age category winners are held at Paphos Castle following the competitions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
