Annual Community Run in Cypress
The Cypress Run is an annual community event held in the heart of Cypress, California. The event features several participation options through the city streets, including competitive and non-competitive categories. Participants can choose between different formats:
- 5 km Run: A chip-timed competitive race with age division awards.
- 5 km Walk: A non-competitive walking option.
- Community Dash: A 0.3 mile course.
All registered participants receive a commemorative race medal and a signature popsicle at the finish line. Those who register by the mid-September deadline are also guaranteed an official race shirt.
The event includes a Health & Fun Expo located at the Green. This expo is free to the public and features local resources and community vendors. The race is open to individual runners, groups of friends, and families. Registration typically opens in early July, with fee increases for those who sign up later in September. All registrations include processing fees and are final once purchased.
The course passes through central areas of the city, and local street closures are implemented to facilitate the event.
