Crimson Classic 5K Run and 1.5 Mile Walk
The University of Denver hosts the 14th annual Crimson Classic on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, on Carnegie Green Lawn at 2150 East Evans Avenue, Denver, CO. The event offers a timed 5K run and a 1.5 mile walk on a looped course. The 5K consists of two laps around the course and the 1.5 mile walk is one lap. Water stations will be located at the start and finish area and along the course.
Music, guided stretching, vendors, and snacks are part of the event program. On-site registration, T-shirt pick-up, and bib pick-up are available for participants. All registered participants who sign up before the registration deadline receive an Annual Crimson Classic T-shirt. Race results are posted on Carnegie Green Lawn after the event and are also available online.
Participants should prepare for variable October weather in Denver and take precautions to hydrate before, during, and after the event. Strollers are allowed but should start toward the back of the field. Pets are not allowed on the course; service animals are permitted. Participants under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Sponsors for the event include TIAA, Gallagher, Cigna, and Kaiser Permanente.
