HAP Crim Festival of Races
The HAP Crim Festival of Races takes place in Flint, Michigan on Friday and Saturday, August 21 and 22, 2026. The event is based at 719 Harrison Street and is presented as the 49th running of the Crim series.
The festival program includes a range of in-person and virtual events:
- 10 Mile signature race
- Half Crim 5 Mile
- 5K
- Michigan Mile
- Teddy Bear Trot, approximately a quarter mile
Multiple divisions are offered, including competitive and non-competitive walk divisions, hand cycle and wheeler divisions, and age group scoring for competitive walks. Non-competitive walk entries receive standard race amenities and timed results but are not eligible for awards. The Teddy Bear Trot starts at City Hall and finishes at the Crim finish line; parents may participate without registering and child registration is required for the participant.
Bundled options are available, such as the Crim Half Marathon which combines the 10 Mile and 5K and awards an additional finisher medal and the ALL In Person Bobby Challenge that includes the Michigan Mile, 10 Mile, 5 Mile and 5K with its own finisher medal. Registration for some bundles requires minimum pace capability. The open 10 Mile Run includes prize money with first place awards of $3000 for men and women and prize tiers for wheelers and hand cyclists. The Crim Fitness Foundation lists a fundraising goal and an amount raised toward that goal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
