HAP Crim Festival of Races
The HAP Crim Festival of Races is a multi-event running festival held in downtown Flint across August 21-22. The 2026 edition marks the 49th anniversary of the Crim 10-mile, which began in 1977. The festival presents a set of road races and bundled events across multiple distances.
The program includes the following races:
- 10-mile Crim 10-mile
- 5-mile Half Crim 5-Mile
- 5K Crim Family 5K
- 1-mile Michigan Mile
- Teddy Bear Trot
- 13.1 miles Crim Half Marathon (bundle)
- 19.1 miles Bobby Challenge (bundle)
Course locations are given for the different events. The Michigan Mile starts at the corner of Kearsley and Harrison Streets. The 10-mile, Half-Crim 5-Mile, Crim Family 5K and bundled races start at the corner of Saginaw and Kearsley Street. The Teddy Bear Trot takes place outside Flint City Hall.
Packet pickup occurs at the Expo in the Riverfront Conference Center in downtown Flint on the days before and during the festival, with specified hours on Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning. Registered participants receive a finisher medal, an ASICS race shirt, bib and timing tag, post-race food items, free pizza and beverages, and access to a post-race area with tents, vendors, live music, yoga and family activities.
