The HAP Crim Festival of Races is an annual running and walking event held in Flint, Michigan. The 2026 edition marks the 49th anniversary of this festival, which features a variety of distances suitable for different disciplines, including running, competitive walking, and non-competitive walking. Participants can also enter as hand cyclists or wheelers in specific categories.
Distances and Challenges
The festival offers several individual race lengths and multi-race bundles:
- 10 Mile - The signature event, including categories for runners, walkers, wheelers, and hand cyclists.
- 5 Mile - Also known as the Half Crim, available for runners and walkers.
- 5K - A shorter distance option for both running and walking participants.
- Michigan Mile - A one-mile race held on Friday.
- Teddy Bear Trot - A quarter-mile event for children starting at City Hall.
- Crim Half Marathon - A combination challenge where participants complete both the 10 Mile and 5K events.
- Bobby Crim Challenge - A comprehensive series involving the 10 Mile, 5 Mile, 5K, and Michigan Mile.
For the 10 Mile run, prize money is available for top finishers in the men's open, women's open, wheelers, and hand cyclists divisions.
