CRC Firecracker Fun Run 5K & 1-Mile Kids Sparkler : Conway, AR
The Conway Running Club hosts a community fun run on June 27, 2026 at 306 Salem Rd, Conway, AR 72034. The event includes two distances:
- 5K Fun Run/Walk
- 1-Mile Kids Sparkler
Both races are untimed and distances are not verified. The first 50 registrants for each race are guaranteed a medal and all registered participants receive a finisher award. The first male and first female finishers in the 5K receive a one-year Conway Running Club membership and additional swag. Medals and awards must be picked up; they will not be shipped.
Course notes: most of the route follows the trail; the 1-mile course uses a halfway turnaround. A short portion of the 5K passes through a neighborhood. A water stop will be available on course. Participants are asked to keep to the right on the trail to avoid impeding returning runners and to follow traffic laws when the course uses roadways.
Logistics: extra parking will be available at the Conway Fitness Center and a brief warm-up walk/jog from the Fitness Center to the start is possible. Bathrooms at the start are limited; additional facilities are at the Fitness Center by permission and at the McDonald’s across the street. Strollers are allowed but should start at the back. Organizers request that participants refrain from bringing dogs.
Registration details: registration opens May 17, 2026 and closes June 28, 2026. Fees and discounts are applied at checkout; CRC members register for free. Individual CRC membership is listed at $15 per year and family membership at $30 per year.
Weather plan: the run proceeds in rain but may be delayed or canceled for persistent lightning; medals will still be distributed to registered participants if the event is canceled. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
