About the race
Craft Idre Fjällmaraton is a trail running event at Idre Fjäll held on 28 August 2027. The courses run through Sweden's southernmost reindeer grazing areas and combine mountain and forest terrain with open views.
The event offers the following distances:
- 8 km
- 18 km
- 28 km
- 45 km
Trails include technical sections with stones and roots and require active footwork and uphill strength. Runners encounter climbs, natural flow sections and vistas over fjäll, forest and the blue horizon. The peak Städjan, rising 1131 meters above sea level, is visible from parts of the area.
Practical arrangements include a Fjällmaratonbus that provides return transport to the race in a social, environmentally friendly and cost-conscious format. Staying at Idre Fjäll reduces local transport needs and provides food options close to the event. The 45 km Renens Stig is a stage in the Outnorth Trailtour and draws elite competitors to the start on the square at Idre Fjäll. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
