Coyote Ultra takes place on October 3, 2026 in Saint-Lazare, Quebec at 4115 Chemin Sainte Angélique. The event follows the Backyard Ultra format: runners repeatedly complete a forest trail loop measuring exactly 6.706 km (4.167 miles). A new lap begins on the hour and each lap must be finished within 60 minutes. The event continues until one runner completes a solo lap after all others have been eliminated. Rules and event support are concise: all runners must be present in the starting area before each lap start; missing a start or failing to complete a lap within 60 minutes results in elimination with no restart. No personal assistance is allowed on the course; crew support is permitted only between laps in the designated transition area. Water will be available in the start/transition area and a limited number of toilets will be provided. Runners are responsible for their own nutrition, electrolytes, hydration systems, and personal equipment. Recommended items include a headlamp with spare batteries, a personal water bottle or hydration flask, nutrition and electrolyte products, weather appropriate clothing, rain gear, warm layers, and a camp chair for recovery.
