Event Overview
The Cowboy Tough Adventure Race is an annual multi-sport competition held in the mountains of Wyoming. The event takes place at Curt Gowdy State Park in Cheyenne and is part of the USARA Race Series, the Rocky Mountains AR Series, and the ARWS North American Series. Participants navigate a course that includes mountain biking, trekking, and paddling, with specific trek-only options also available.
Course and Participation
The race is designed to accommodate various ability levels. The course structure allows participants to use different strategies to maximize points, including the choice to bypass optional sections. The terrain features single track and mountain landscapes. Participants can compete individually or in teams of two, three, or four people.
Available Event Categories
The following timed events are available for solo participants and teams:
- 8 Hour Race: Options for Solo, 2 Person, 3 Person, and 4 Person Teams.
- 50 Hour Race: Options for Solo, 2 Person, 3 Person, and 4 Person Teams.
