Event Overview

The Cowboy Tough Adventure Race takes place in Wyoming at Curt Gowdy State Park, near Cheyenne. The event consists of two main durations: an 8-hour race and a 50-hour race. For each duration, participants can register as solo individuals or as part of a 2-person, 3-person, or 4-person team.

The course incorporates mountain biking, trekking, and paddling disciplines. A trek-only option is also available. The event awards points for the USARA Race Series, the Rocky Mountains AR Series, and the ARWS North American Series.

Event Format

The course is described as traversing the mountains of Wyoming, featuring single-track and varied terrain. It is designed to offer different strategic options, with teams able to bypass optional sections to maximize points.
