Event
The Covered Bridge Classic is a 10K road race. The course is a point-to-point route with pavement and sections of dirt. It starts at the Burkeville Covered Bridge and finishes in Conway town center on Elm Street in front of the Field Memorial Library. Once on Reeds Bridge Road, the course follows a lollypop out-and-back route to the finish. A detailed course map and elevation profile are available.
Logistics and services
Advance registration is listed at $37 online; day-of registration is $45 and accepts check or cash only (no electronic payments). All pre-registered runners receive a pair of SockGuy socks. A $5 rate applies for a child of a registered parent, either online or in person. Pre-registered runners pick up bibs at the registration table in front of the Field Memorial Library; day-of registration is available between 8:45 and 9:40 am.
Parking for racers is recommended at the intersection of Whately Road and Old Cricket Hill Road on Pumpkin Hollow Commons, about 0.4 miles from the library; there is no parking on Elm Street. The walk from registration to the start is nearly 1 mile; Route 116 leads from registration to the start. Water tables are located at miles 2.75, 4.0 and the finish. A shuttle is available to transport backpacks or extra clothing from the start to the finish.
