Covered Bridge Classic Road Race
The Covered Bridge Classic is a 10K road race run on a point to point course that includes both pavement and dirt surfaces. The course begins at the Burkeville Covered Bridge and finishes in Conway town center on Elm Street in front of the Field Memorial Library. After joining Reeds Bridge Road the route follows a lollypop out and back section before returning to town.
Pre-registered participants pick up bibs at the registration table in front of the Field Memorial Library. Day of registration is available but accepts only cash or check; advance online registration is a lower fee and includes a complimentary pair of SockGuy socks. A reduced child entry fee applies for children of registered parents.
Parking for racers is recommended at the intersection of Whately Road and Old Cricket Hill Road on the Pumpkin Hollow Commons, approximately 0.4 miles from the library; there is no parking on Elm Street. The start area is nearly a one mile walk from the registration area; walking up Route 116 connects registration to the start. Water tables are located at miles 2.75, 4.0 and at the finish. Because start and finish are in different locations, a shuttle is provided to transport backpacks or small items from the start to the finish.
