Course for Compassion
Course pour la Compassion takes place on September 19, 2026 at Valois Park in Pointe Claire. This is the 10th edition of a walk/run event raising funds for the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence. The 2026 net fundraising goal is $425,000 to support free, compassionate palliative care in the community.
Participants may choose between two distances:
- 1 km
- 5 km
The event is presented as a fun run, allowing walking or running, and dogs are welcome. Participants can raise funds through personal fundraising pages or form teams to support the residence. A memorial sign option is available for $200, and these signs are displayed along a Memory Lane on the route.
After completing the walk or run, a Party Zone in Valois Park features local merchants and sponsors offering complimentary items and family-oriented activities. Offerings include face painting, frozen treats, coffee, and other amenities for attendees of all ages.
