About the race
Course pour la Compassion is a community charity walk and run taking place on September 19, 2026 at Valois Park in Pointe-Claire. This is the 10th edition of the event. Participants can choose between two route distances and may walk, jog, or run. Dogs are welcome and the event is described as a fun run.

The event raises funds for the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence. The 2026 fundraising goal is $425,000 net to support free, compassionate palliative care for people in the community. A $200 Memorial Sign can be purchased and displayed along the route in "Memory Lane" to remember a loved one. After the walk or run, a family-oriented Party Zone in Valois Park features local merchants and sponsors offering complimentary items, face-painting, frozen treats, and coffee. Participants may also create personal fundraising pages or form teams to raise funds for the Residence. Proceeds support the Residence in providing end-of-life care free of charge to patients and their loved ones. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
