Since 2012 the event has offered routes that pass by several local landmarks and combines on-site and virtual participation options. The next scheduled edition is Sunday 30 May 2027.

Distances offered include:

• Marathon 42.2 km
• Half marathon 21.1 km
• 10 km
• 5 km
• 2.5 km

• Virtual race option

Participants registered for distances of 5 km and above experience a passage through an actual fire station as part of the course. The event is sanctioned OR by Athlétisme Québec and the marathon can serve as a qualifier for the Abbott World Marathon Majors. Past editions have included special medal designs and commemorative themes, a relocated finish area to the outdoor site of Collège Montmorency in 2023, and a virtual edition in 2021. The event supports the Fondation des pompiers du Québec and has a record of fundraising and community engagement across multiple editions.
