About the race
The Course des pompiers de Laval is an annual running event in Laval, Quebec, held since 2012 and organized by the Service de sécurité incendie de Laval, the Ville de Laval and the Fondation des pompiers du Québec. The event offers a range of in-person races and a virtual option, with distances spanning from short youth and family formats to the full marathon.

The marathon is listed as a qualifying race for major marathon programs and the event holds an OR sanction from Athlétisme Québec. Participants registered for distances of 5 km and above pass through a real fire station as part of the course experience. The event also runs targeted programs such as a youth offer for Laval residents 17 and under priced at 10$ including a shirt and a medal, and a corporate challenge to mobilize organizations.
The Course des pompiers has included commemorative medals and community fundraising moments; past editions note commemorative designs, performance and fundraising efforts that supported the Fondation des pompiers and causes for burn survivors.
