The event organizer removed single-use cups from aid stations in 2023; this change avoids about 480 litres of waste. Post-race snacks prioritize local producers. Registration policies state that entry fees are refundable up to 30 days before the event, and transfers or distance changes are allowed up to 15 days before the event.
A presenting partner and several local partners support the event. The event also hosts fundraising campaigns; one listed beneficiary has raised CA$184.19 toward a CA$3,000 goal. The program emphasizes a mix of running, community activities, and local cultural elements in an urban setting. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
