Bryan Liew Race
The Bryan Liew Race in Saint-Lazare is in its 5th edition. The event offers several distances: 5 km and 10 km, as well as a 1 km for children 12 and under and a 400 meters for children 6 and under. A 2 km course is also mentioned. The event takes place at Westwood Park and the Bryan Liew Athletic Track, located at 2876 chemin St-Louis, Saint-Lazare.
The adult races (5 km and 10 km) go through the Saddlebrook neighborhood, passing by a pond and wooded streets. The 10 km course includes slightly more than one lap on the 400-meter track, followed by two loops of the 5 km course. A water station is available at the halfway point. Volunteers and directional arrows guide participants.
The children's 1 km takes place on Westwood Street in front of the park. The 2 km is a loop passing by Evergreen School. The 400 meters is run on the Bryan Liew Athletic Track.
Registration is available online until the preceding Friday, or on-site starting at 8:00 am on event day. A family registration offers a discount for four or more participants. Medals are awarded to the top three men and women in each distance, with specific categories for youth. A finisher's ribbon is given to all 400-meter participants. Timing is provided by Chrono 900 with electronic chips. Additional parking is available at Westwood Junior High School and Evergreen School.
