Event overview
The Cougar Mountain Trail Run Series (July) is part of the 2026 Cougar Mountain Trail Run Series held at Sky Country Trailhead in Bellevue, WA 98006. The July event offers three trail race distances and is organized by Seattle Running Club and Northwest Trail Runs. The series supports King County Parks, with fifteen dollars from every entry donated to the parks.

The series uses a best-3-out-of-4 scoring method for awards. There are defined Short and Long Series combinations across the May, June, July, and August events. Overall awards are based on cumulative time, and series standings are updated after each month.
Race operations and rules
Races run on single-track trails through forest, hills, marshes, and wetland habitats. The event is cup-free; participants are asked to carry refillable water containers for aid stations. Dogs are not allowed on the course due to insurance requirements. Top three Men, Women, and Nonbinary finishers in each event receive podium prizes.
