About the race
The Cotswold Airport Running Festival takes place on Saturday 20th February 2027 at Cotswold Airport, Cirencester GL7 6BA. The event uses a closed airport runway and adjacent airport roads, offering a smooth, flat course with distance flags marking every kilometre.
Multiple distances are available:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
The route layout is: the half marathon comprises a mini lap plus four laps, the 10K is two laps, and the 5K is one lap. There is a three hour cut-off on the half marathon to allow the runway to be reopened on time. Minimum ages are 17 for the half marathon, 15 for the 10K, and 11 for the 5K.
Entries include a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results, post race goodies, and a bag drop. A secure marquee is provided for baggage and portable toilets are available in the event village and on each lap. Water is provided at the end of each lap and at the finish; the 5K course does not pass a water station.
The event village sits beside the Negus Boeing 747 aircraft. Free parking is available on site, and marshals are positioned around the course to guide and encourage participants. Pram and wheelchair participants are welcome. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
