Cossatot River Trail Run
The Cossatot River Trail Run is an endurance trail event held along the Cossatot River in the Ouachita Mountains at Cossatot River State Park - Natural Area in Wickes, Arkansas. The event offers two distances and finishes at the state park visitor center in Wickes.

- 12.5 miles (Half Marathon)
- 25 miles (Marathon)
The course follows the River Corridor Trail and combines point to point and out and back sections. Surfaces include rocky, rooty, grassy and dirt single track trails. Elevation gain is roughly 2000 ft for the 12.5 mile distance and about 4000 ft for the 25 mile distance. Historic average temperatures for the event period are listed as 51 to 72 degrees.
Logistics note that shuttle service is provided for the half marathon between the visitor center and Bushy Creek, and packet pickup occurs at the visitor center. There is a time cutoff for all events and an 8 hour cutoff noted for the marathon.
Race services include aid station food and hydration, course marking and support, event photography, a finisher medal, event tee (order by Sep 5 to guarantee shirt), and awards for top finishers by gender plus a Dead Freakin Last award for the marathon.
