Cossatot River Trail Run - September 26, 2026
The Cossatot River Trail Run is an endurance trail event at Cossatot River State Park - Natural Area in Wickes, Arkansas. It offers two official distances on the River Corridor Trail and uses a combination of point-to-point and out-and-back routing, with parking and event finish at the park Visitor Center.
The trail surface is rocky, rooty, grassy and dirt single-track. Elevation gain is listed as about 2000 feet for the Half Marathon and about 4000 feet for the Marathon. Historic average temperatures for the date are reported near 51 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit.
Logistics note that packet pickup is handled at the Visitor Center and that shuttles operate between the Visitor Center and Bushy Creek Recreation Area for the half marathon. The event is designated a no cup race, so participants are expected to use their own water-carrying systems.
Event items and services include a race tee (order by September 5 to guarantee size), a finisher medal, 1st-3rd place awards for male and female divisions at each distance, and a DFL award for the marathon.
