Corvedale Cake Walk

The Corvedale Cake Walk is a Marches LDWA challenge walk held on 24 April 2027, based at Holdgate Church near Much Wenlock, Shropshire TF13 6LW. The routes climb to the summit of Abdon Burf, the highest point in Shropshire, and both return via the Jack Mytton Way. The longer route also follows Wenlock Edge, offering views out to Mid Wales.

The event includes staffed checkpoints and two route options with refreshment points. Full refreshments are provided at checkpoints, with hot drinks at the start and hot dogs at the finish. Parking near the church is clearly signed. Participants should bring suitable clothing for changeable weather, an OS Explorer 217 map, and a personal mug. No dogs are allowed because of livestock, and under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Entries open 1 January 2027 and close 10 April 2027. Entry fees are £20.00 for the 22 mile route and £16.00 for the 10 mile route. No refunds after 1 March 2027. Proceeds from the event will go to the Holdgate and Eaton church communities who have assisted previous events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
