Corvedale Cake Walk
The Corvedale Cake Walk takes place on 25 April 2026 and is organised by the Marches group of the Long Distance Walkers Association (LDWA). The event starts at Holdgate Church, near Much Wenlock, Shropshire (TF13 6LW, Grid Ref SO 562896). Entries open on 1 January 2026 and close on 11 April 2026. Entry fees are listed below. All proceeds will go to the Holdgate and Eaton church communities. Clearly signed parking is available near the start.

Both routes climb to Abdon Burf, described in the event information as the highest point in Shropshire, and both return via the Jack Mytton Way. The longer route also climbs Wenlock Edge and passes Wilderhope before returning to Holdgate. Refreshments are available: hot drinks at the start, full refreshments including cakes and sandwiches at checkpoint locations, and hot dogs at the finish. Event rules and notes include no dogs due to livestock, under 18s to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and a recommendation to carry suitable clothing for changeable weather. The map reference is OS Explorer 217, Longmynd and Wenlock Edge, and participants are asked to bring a mug. Walkers and runners are both welcome.
