Cops & Joggers 5K/Fun Run - Burlington, KY
The Cops & Joggers event in Burlington, Kentucky includes a community 5K and a Kids Fun Run hosted by the Boone County Sheriff's Office and held in and around England Idlewild Park and the Boone County Sheriff's Office (5550 Idlewild Rd). The 5K course proceeds down Conrad Lane toward Idlewild Road, continues through a marked route in England-Idlewild Park, and returns to the Boone County Sheriff's Office. A shorter Fun Run route is available in front of the Sheriff’s Office for children; that route includes colored chalk tossed on participants.

Registration options and fees are listed for individual and family entries. 5K fees include an Early Bird tier of $30 through August 1, 2026, a regular rate of $40 through August 29, 2026, and a Race Day rate of $45 through September 12, 2026. Kids registration (ages 0–12) is $15 for all dates and includes a finisher medal, sunglasses, and a guaranteed event t-shirt if registered by August 25, 2026. Family bundles are available, including a four-person 5K bundle for $120 and a full family bundle (two 5K + two Kids Fun Run) for $95.
Proceeds support the Boone County Sheriffs Auxiliary goal to raise $5,000. Funds are used for emergency relief, mental health support, recognition for personnel, and compassionate care for deputies and their families. On-site, day-of-race registration closes promptly at 8:45 AM. In the event of inclement weather, organizers may delay or cancel the run; there are no refunds for weather-related cancellations.
