Cops & Joggers 5K/Fun Run : Burlington, KY
The Cops & Joggers 5K and Kids Fun Run is presented by the Boone County Sheriff's Auxiliary and takes place on September 12, 2026 in Burlington, Kentucky at the Boone County Sheriff's Office and England-Idlewild Park. The event includes options for adult and youth participants and offers t-shirts and medals according to registration timing.
- 5K for ages 12 and up.
- Kids Fun Run for ages 0–12 with a shorter, marked route and colored chalk along the course.
Registration tiers for the 5K include an Early Bird fee of $30 through August 1, 2026 with a guaranteed event t-shirt and finisher medal; a regular fee of $40 from August 1 through August 29, 2026 with shirt and medal while supplies last; and a race day fee of $45 through September 12, 2026 with medal only. Kids registration is $15 for all dates and includes a finisher medal, sunglasses, and a guaranteed event t-shirt if registered by August 25, 2026. Family bundles are available: four 5K registrations for $120, or two 5K registrations plus two Kids Fun Run entries for $95.
The 5K course begins and ends near the Boone County Sheriff's Office, proceeds down Conrad Lane toward Idlewild Road, passes through England-Idlewild Park, and returns to the office. Proceeds support a $5,000 fundraising goal for emergency relief, mental health support, recognition efforts, and compassionate care for deputies and their families.
