Cops & Joggers 5K and Kids Fun Run : Burlington, KY

This event features a community 5K and a shorter kids fun run organized by the Boone County Sheriff’s Auxiliary at England Idlewild Park and the Boone County Sheriff’s Office in Burlington, Kentucky. The 5K course begins in front of the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, proceeds down Conrad Lane toward Idlewild Road, continues on a marked route through England Idlewild Park, and returns to the sheriff’s office. The kids fun run follows a shorter route in front of the sheriff’s office and includes colored chalk tossed along the route.

Distances:

• 5K race for ages 12 and up.
• Kids fun run shorter route for ages 12 and under.

Registration is offered in tiered pricing with early, regular, and race day rates for the 5K, and a single price for the kids fun run. Event shirts and finisher medals are provided with specific registration deadlines for guaranteed shirts; children who register by the stated deadline receive a finisher medal and sunglasses in addition to a shirt.

Proceeds support the Boone County Sheriff’s Auxiliary goal to raise $5,000. Funds are designated for emergency relief for deputies and their families, mental health support after traumatic events, recognition for promotions and retirements, and compassionate care during family crises.
