Cops & Joggers 5K / Kids Fun Run : Burlington, KY
The Cops & Joggers event on September 12, 2026, includes a community 5K and a separate Kids 5K Fun Run at England Idlewild Park and the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, located at 5550 Idlewild Rd, Burlington, KY 41005.

The 5K course begins in front of the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, proceeds down Conrad Lane toward Idlewild Road, continues on a marked route through England-Idlewild Park, and returns to the sheriff’s office. The Kids Fun Run uses a shorter route in front of the sheriff’s office and includes colored chalk that is tossed on participants during the run.
Registration options and benefits are tiered: an early-bird 5K rate with a guaranteed event t-shirt and finisher medal if registered by August 1, 2026; regular registration with shirt and medal while supplies last; and later registration that guarantees a medal but not a shirt. Kids registration is $15 and includes a finisher medal, sunglasses, and a guaranteed t-shirt if registered by August 25, 2026. Family bundle options are available.
Proceeds support the Boone County Sheriff’s Auxiliary goal to raise $5,000 to provide emergency relief, mental health support, recognition and compassionate care for deputies and their families.
