Coppenagh Coo 5km Carlow Chase
The inaugural Coppenagh Coo 5km Carlow Chase takes place at Coppenagh House Farm in Carlow. This event serves as the opening activity for the Big Barn Bash Family Food and Drink Festival. Participants have the option to run or walk the course, which is designed as a flat out-and-back route suitable for those attempting the distance for the first time or seeking a specific finishing time.
The event features a 5 km distance.
Participants are encouraged to wear fancy dress for the occasion. The race includes several prize categories, offering cash awards for the top three male and female finishers overall. Additionally, there are specific prizes for the best fancy dress costumes, winners in the age-friendly categories, and the final male and female finishers to cross the line.
Registered participants receive a commemorative race medal and free entry to the Big Barn Bash festival. The first 300 individuals to enter also receive an event T-shirt. Registration is available in advance, with an increased fee for those who sign up on the day of the event.
