Coolest 10km Trail Run

The Coolest 10km Trail Run takes place in Cool, California, within the Auburn State Recreation Area. The event features a single distance:

The course consists of a 6 mile loop on the Olmsted Trail. This route parallels Highway 49 and the American River Canyon, leading through open, rolling hills populated with several species of oak trees. During the spring, the landscape also features various wildflowers. The terrain includes steep canyon climbs and descents as the trail crosses both Knickerbocker and Salt Creeks.

The elevation for this run ranges from 1,229 feet to 1,529 feet. The vertical gross measurement is recorded as +799 feet and -795 feet. The event is held in conjunction with the Coolest Ride and Tie.

Participants have access to a fully staffed aid station located at approximately mile 3 of the loop. This station provides Hammer Nutrition products for hydration and fueling.
