Cool Moon Trail Races June 13 and 14, 2026
This event stages multiple trail distances around Cool, California at the Cool Staging Area (7200 Saint Florian Court). Distances are built from two primary loops: a 13.5 mile North loop and an 11.5 mile South loop. The course uses single track and fire roads and is described as well marked.

Course notes include an extended 100K routing that alternates North and South loops and then follows a short connector to reach 62.2 miles. Elevation totals provided by distance include approximately 9000 feet for the 100K and 6,700 feet for the 50 mile; loop elevation figures are also listed. The 5K runs partly on asphalt and partly on trail with about 243 feet of elevation gain and loss.
Support and logistics: live runner tracking and timing chips will be used. Parking is free and included with registration. Aid stations are positioned around both loops with some water only stations. Drop bags are permitted for the longer distances with collection at the start/finish area. Pacers and crew rules apply for the 100K and 50 mile, and time cutoffs are specified per distance. All finishers receive a medal and shirt; additional awards and special items are listed by distance.
