Cookie Daze - Newton, KS
Cookie Daze takes place on June 20, 2026 at Athletic Park, 700 W 1st St, Newton, Kansas. The event consists of two 5K races held on the paved sidewalk of the Sandcreek Bike Path.
One race is the Cookie Fun Run where participants eat one cookie at each water station before continuing. The other is a Competitive 5K without cookie stops. Race day registration is listed at $35. Early packet pickup is available on June 19 at Heart to Heart Child Advocacy Center, 702 N. Main, Newton, KS.
The 5K course begins with a lap around Athletic Park, proceeds north to 12th Street, goes south to 1st Street, and returns to Athletic Park. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 13 and Under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and Over.
All proceeds support the missions of Heart to Heart Child Advocacy Center and Caring Hands Humane Society. The two organizations focus on advocacy and services for child abuse victims and on humane animal care and reducing animal suffering.
