Emma Creek Classic 5K/1M - Hesston, KS

The Emma Creek Classic 5K/1M is scheduled for April 25, 2026, at Hesston High School and Stadium in Hesston, Kansas. The event marks the 35th run of this annual fundraiser, which raises funds to support youth participation who might otherwise be unable to join due to budgetary constraints.

The event is a women's only race with awards for a wide range of age groups. Awards are given to the Top 10 overall and the top three finishers in each age group; age groups include 8 and younger, 9-11, 12-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, and 85 and older. The awards ceremony is limited to a maximum of 30 minutes.

Practical details published for participants include a packet pickup option the day before at Hesston Aquatic Center (300 N Ridge Road) and additional packet pickup on race day at the stadium. The first 500 entrants receive a swag bag and a 2026 Emma Creek t-shirt, with an option to choose shirt color.

Event rules and services noted: the course is certified fast and flat for women and girls, timing chips are used, strollers are welcome but should line up toward the back, cell phones and pets are not allowed in the race, scooters/skates/skateboards are prohibited, medical aid will be available, and race results are posted at timerguys.com.
