Emma Creek Classic 5K/1M
The event takes place in Hesston, Kansas on April 24, 2027, at 200 N Ridge Road, Hesston KS 67062. Multiple distances are offered and entry requires registration that opens November 1, 2026 and closes April 11, 2027; the listed registration fee is $30.00.
Distances
- 1 mile fun walk/run (non-competitive)
- 5K run with chip timing
- 10K for everyone
Packet pickup is available the day before at the Hesston Aquatic Center, 300 N Ridge Road, and there is day of packet pickup and on-site registration. The event will include brunch for participants and parking is at the stadium. The 5K course is certified as fast and flat for women and girls of all ages. Timing chips are used and race results will be available through Timerguys.
Awards are planned for the Top 10 overall and the top 3 in each age group. Age groups are: 8 and younger; 9-11; 12-17; 18-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80-84; and 85 and older. The awards ceremony will last no more than 30 minutes.
Event rules note that all Kansas middle school, junior high and high school track and field athletes are ineligible under KSHSAA rules. Strollers are welcome but should line up toward the back. No pets, scooters, skates, or skateboards; medical aid will be available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
