Emma Creek Classic 1M|5K|10K
The event takes place in Hesston, Kansas at 200 N Ridge Road. It includes three distances and on-site services for participants.
- 1 mile: fun run and walk, non-competitive, supports Hesston Rec
- 5K: traditional women and girls event with chip timing and awards
- 10K: open to everyone with chip timing
Registration opens November 1, 2026 and closes April 11, 2027. The registration fee is $30 for the listed events.
Packet pickup is offered the day before at the Hesston Aquatic Center, 300 N Ridge Road, and there is day-of packet pickup and on-site registration at the event. Parking is located at the stadium. Brunch will be available for runners.
Awards are presented to the Top 10 overall and the top three in each age group. Age groups are: 8 and younger; 9-11; 12-17; 18-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80-84; and 85 and older. The awards presentation will last no more than 30 minutes.
Course and event rules note that the 5K is a certified fast-and-flat course for women and girls, timing chips are used, and medical aid will be available. Kansas middle school, junior high and high school track and field athletes are ineligible to compete under KSHSAA rules. Strollers are welcome but should line up toward the back. No cell phone use or pets in the race; no scooters, skates or skateboards. Race results will be available at Timerguys.com. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
