Cookie Chase

Cookie Chase is a 5K Run/Walk held at Sloan's Lake Park in Denver on Saturday, July 11, 2026. The course uses the paved bike trails around the lake. Bicycles, skateboards, and roller skates are not allowed in the race. Due to the narrow nature of the course, participants will be started in waves based on estimated finish time.

The event is staged from the parking lot at W 17th Ave and Utica St. That parking lot will be closed on race morning; parking is available in the neighborhood to the south of the park. Participants are asked to obey parking signs and leave no trace around the park. Packet pickup is offered the day before the race at Runners Roost in Denver and race day packet pickup is available at the race site.

Registration includes a race logo shirt, a finishers medal, fresh cookies at the finish, fully stocked aid stations, professional chip timing using a disposable bib tag, and free photo downloads after the event. An awards ceremony near the finish presents overall male and female winners and the top three in each age group. Age groups are listed from 9 and under, then 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, and continue up to 80 and over.

A virtual option is available; virtual packets include a shirt, medal, and bib and are shipped at no charge. The race information also references the 2026 USATF Colorado LDR Grand Prix, a six-race series with prize money. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
